CONGRESSIONAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

The Congressional Fellowship is a unique program that offers participants the chance to work as legislative assistants in the offices of select Representatives and Senators.  Eligible candidates are Marine Officers in the Active and Reserve components, SNCO's, and Civilian Marines.  The fellowship includes both a work and seminar component, and offers competitively-selected applicants the opportunity to better understand the operations and functions of the legislative branch of the U.S. Government and the legislative process as a whole, which is vital to the Marine Corps.  The knowledge that fellows gain improves the Marine Corps’ long term liaison capabilities on Capitol Hill and works to seamlessly integrate the Marine Corps’ vision and mission with legislative branch processes and personnel.

Officers, please contact LtCol Rex VanBuskirk for all Fellowship matters at rex.vanbuskirk@usmc.mil or (703)692-0235
