Marine Corps Intelligence Student Employment Program 

What you MUST HAVE and KNOW BEFORE you Apply

In order to be CONSIDERED for selection to hire, you  . . .

  • MUST be enrolled full-time in a baccalaureate or graduate program at an accredited university.
  • MUST have completed a minumum of 30 credit hours.
  • MUST be a U.S. citizen.
  • MUST be able to pass an SSBI background check for a Top Secret/SCI clearance (studying abroad the semester before the program could complicate this process).
  • MUST be willing to submit to an initial and random urinalysis test.
  • MUST be able to commit to a minimum of eight weeks.
  • MUST commit to working a minimum of 32 hours per week.

Once SELECTED for consideration to hire, you . . .

  • WILL go through the hiring process. This includes and interview (in-person or if not in the area, via telephone) and the process of submitting and passing an urinalysis test.
  • MUST complete the paperwork for Top Secret/SCI clearance. Strick adherence to timelines, which you'll be provided, must be followed. The clearance process can be time consuming so it you miss any deadlines you will be DROPPED from consideration for the program.
  • WILL be notified within a month of application through e-mail and/or by other contact information you provide on your application. You will be receiving regular updtaes, so, be sure the contact information you provide will allow you to respond frequently and without trouble.

Once HIRED, you . . .

  • ARE responsible for your own relocation, housing, and transporation.
  • MUST confirm your starte date, your job location, with the Student Employment Coordinator, before you depart for the Washington, DC or Northern Virginia area.
  • SHOULD refer back to the Student Employment site anytime you need clarification about the application and/or hiring process.
