Frequently Asked Questions:

Q:  Do you maintain individual photos of active-duty Marines?
A:  No.  Depending on how long the individual Marine has been in the Marine Corps, the recruit depots where the Marine underwent recruit training may have images.  For Marines who entered the Marine Corps from states east of the Mississippi, contact Public Affairs at Recruit Depot Parris Island.  For Marines who entered the Marine Corps from states west of the Mississippi, contact Public Affairs at Recruit Depot San Diego.

Q:  How can I send care packages to Marines currently deployed overseas?
A:  Packages and letters addressed to 'any servicemember' are no longer accepted.  All mail must be addressed to a specific individual.  If you do not know a specific service member but wish to send your greetings, there are a number of non-profit organizations that support deployed service members and can help facilitate getting you in contact with a deployed Marine or sailor.  At no time should you pay for such a service.  The link below provides a list of non-profit organizations that have indicated they send care packages. While this list is a representative sample of support across the country, it may assist you with your research. http://www.ourmilitary.mil/send_packages.shtml

The chaplains and family readiness officers of deployed units may also be able to help.
