Mission
Provide limited duration expeditionary antiterrorism and security forces in support of designated component and geographic combatant commanders in order to protect vital naval and national assets. Conduct other limited duration contingency operations as directed by the commanding general, II Marine Expeditionary Force.
Mission Essential Tasks:
1. Provide forward deployed, expeditionary antiterrorism and security forces to support designated commanders and protect vital national assets.
2. Provide expeditionary antiterrorism and security forces, deployable from the United States, to establish or augment security as directed by Commander Marine Forces Command via Commander II MEF.
3. Maintain permanent forces to provide security for strategic weapons at designated facilities.
