What is Family Readiness?
We recognize that family readiness directly affects the morale of Marines and is the key to mission accomplishment.
The Family Readiness Officer is the commanding officer's designated representative on family readiness matters.
Responsibilities of the Family Readiness Officer include:
- Facilitating a constant flow of Family Readiness information from the command and other sources through the Family Readiness Command Team to family members
- Providing information and referrals to family members
- Planning for deployment related and Readiness training events
Family readiness ensures that Marines can focus on their tasks knowing that their families have the tools and support needed through the challenges of deployment.
