Toys for Tots

The Toys for Tots foundation strives to ensure those who are less fortunate receive gifts during the Christmas and Holiday season. Here at the Bessemer Marine Corps Reserve Center, we coordinate with local businesses and community volunteers to receive donations and distribute the toys through various distribution points around Jefferson County and other areas.
The Bessemer Coordinator oversees all aspects of the Toys for Tots program in our area. This includes registering families, distribution and collection of donation boxes, business events, providing Marines at requested collection sites, school events, collection of donations, inventory control, packaging and distribution of the toys and media relations. This is a very busy and short period of time for all of this to happen.
The Bessemer Coordinator will distribute registration information to the local distribution points (Bessemer and Downtown Birmingham YMCA's and others) before the Christmas Holiday season kicks in.
