Location / Hours of Operation

Location: The chapel and Chaplain Offices are located in Building 566, on Geiger St. 
across from the 7-day store and exchange.

Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday, 0730-1630

Chaplain Services

Chaplains are available for counseling, weddings, baptism, and to facilitate for the religious needs of all military personnel and their families
 

Command Chaplain

          The Command Chaplain aboard the Air Station is responsible for administrating the Commanding Officer’s Command Religious Program.  The current Command Chaplain is Commander Charles Kessler.  CDR Kessler has over twenty years as a Navy Chaplain and over thirty-five as an ordained Southern Baptist minister.  In addition to his Navy assignments, he has completed seven Marine tours (four with FMF units) and has earned the FMF Qualified Officer designation.

Staff Chaplain

          The Staff chaplain serves as the Division Officer and the Assistant Command Chaplain.  The current Staff Chaplain is LTJG Twig Sargent.  Sargent, a Presbyterian Church of America minister, is in his first assignment as a Navy Chaplain. He and his wife, Joanna, have four children and bring a tremendous energy and vitality to the chapel community.
