Dear Swamp Fox Marines, Sailors, and Families,
On behalf of Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron's Family Readiness Command Team, welcome to the Swamp Fox Den!
My name is Lisa Montanez, the Family Readiness Officer for H&HS. As the FRO, I am a special staff officer for our Commanding Officer. LtCol Acosta strongly supports the Family Readiness program and considers it an integral part of mission readiness. Even though H&HS does not deploy as a unit, rather as individual augments, family readiness is a vital component in the endeavor to build commitment and raise morale for our Marines and families.
As the squadron FRO, I am here to provide a variety of resources to better prepare you for the challenges of embracing the Marine Corps lifestyle. My role as a direct link between the command and families allows me to provide you with official communication, information, and resource referral, both aboard the base and in the local community.
I encourage you to be an active part of the squadron! There are many ways to be involved. They include attending briefs, becoming a volunteer with the Family Readiness Program, being present at family functions, and by providing feedback on any events that you attend or would like to attend. The Family Readiness Program is specifically designed to help your family thrive in our military lifestyle. Embrace the numerous programs you, as a military member or spouse, are entitled to! We are always open to suggestions and new ideas, and encourage you to get involved.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. My office is located in Building 600, second deck, and my door is always open! Please do stop by and see me when you are able. You may also email me at lisa.montanez@usmc.mil or reach me by telephone at 843-228-7663.
Sincerely,
Lisa Montanez
Family Readiness Officer
