 Community Relations
The mission of Community Relations is to foster a positive and proactive military and civilian relationship between MCAS Beaufort and the Lowcountry. Our Community Relations program strives to boost the public's awareness of the unique elements and contributions of the Marine Corps through direct interaction with Marines, sailors and their families. At the heart of our community relations program are the individual Marines who continue to make an impact in our neighboring communities. Positive contributions take place daily, whether through individual volunteerism, unit participation in worthwhile programs such as non-profit groups like Habitat for Humanity, speakers, flyovers for local events.

Tours

One resource the Public Affairs Office provides is the opportunity to participate in an organized group tour of the Air Station. These tours allow groups to learn more about MCAS Beaufort and the Marine Corps. These tours are designed to accommodate groups of twenty or more. Group sizes can be tailored to the requestor's needs on a case-by-case basis when conditions allow. The basic tour package can include a visit to one of our F/A-18 squadrons and the opportunity to see our K-9 Dog Unit in action. Those interested in touring the installation are required to submit a tour request in writing to our address via mail, fax or email

News

The Public Affairs Office produces the Jet Stream newspaper and Combat Camera produces the Ready Room TV show, which both provide information relevant to our Marines, sailors, their family members and the general public. The Jet Stream is distributed weekly and can also be viewed online at www.thejetstreamonline.com. The Ready Room is a monthly TV show that play on the Commander's Channel daily at 8 a.m., 12 p.m, 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.. Hargray customers can tune in on channel 8, Comcast customers on channel 2.
