Checking in
One of the first things military personnel must attend to upon their arrival to the Air Station is checking in. New arrivals must take their original orders to their command to be endorsed before visiting the Installation Personnel Administration Center (IPAC). If checking in after working hours or on the weekend, check in with the Air Station Officer of the Day (OOD) in Building 601, MCAS Headquarters, duty desk. MAG-31 Personnel: All military personnel with orders to MAG-31 should check in with the MAG-31 S-1, located in Building 1252.Squadrons that fall under MAG-31 include MALS-31, VMFA-115, VMFA-122, VMFA(AW)-224, VMFA-251, VMFA-312 and VFMA(AW)-533. H&HS Personnel: All military personnel with orders to Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron should check in with the Station S-1, located in building 601, Room 125B. MWSS-273 Personnel: All military personnel with orders to Marine Wing Support Squadron 273 should check in with the Station S-1, located in building 601, Room 125B. VFA-86 Personnel: All military personnel with orders to Navy Strike Fighter Squadron 86 should check in with their respective units in Building 405, Ready Room. CLC-23 Personnel: All military personnel with orders to Combat Logistics Company 23 should check in with their respective units in Building 614. For more information, call (843)228-8511. MACS-2, Det. A Personnel: All military personnel with orders to Marine Air Control Squadron 2, Det. A, should check in with their respective units in Building 662. For more information, call (843)228-6798, DSN 335-6798. Please make one of your first stops the Welcome Center where you can get a map of Beaufort, MCAS Beaufort and MCRD Parris Island. In addition to the maps, you can get on and off base telephone books and information on the Lending Locker, which consists of air mattresses, dishes, pots and pans, televisions, microwaves. All are free of charge for service members and their families.  The Welcome Center is located next to the Marine Corps Exchange.
