TRAFFIC REINSTATEMENT/APPEALS

REINSTATEMENT OF DRIVING PRIVILEGES: Persons whose driving privileges have been revoked through the provisions of ASO 5101.6 may not apply for reinstatement until they can provide documented proof that they have been relicensed by the state or district revoking the privilege.

Application for reinstatement for military personnel will be submitted to the Station Inspector via the chain of command; civilian personnel will submit directly to the Station Inspector; with full justification for the reinstatement and evidence of having completed a Remedial Driving Training course as described in para 11 of ASO 5101.6.

Group Commanders and the Commanding Officer, MWHS-2 are authorized to correspond directly with the Commander Officer, MCAS Cherry Point (Attn: Station Inspector). The requirement to staff via 2d MAW no longer applies.

Personnel suspended for 6 months or less will automatically have their driving privileges reinstated at the end of their suspension period, with nothing required of the person suspended.

Personnel revoked for more than 6 months are required to request through the Station Inspector to be reinstated before they are authorized to obtain a DOD decal or drive aboard the Air Station.
