Lieutenant Colonel Eric S. Weissberger

Lieutenant Colonel Weissberger graduated from California State University Fullerton in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics.

Lieutenant Colonel Weissberger was commissioned in the Marine Corps through the Platoon Leaders Class Program in 1989. He attended The Basic School, Data Systems Officer Course, and completed flight training in 1992 at Naval Air Station Whiting Field.

Lieutenant Colonel Weissbergers aviation experience is in the CH-53E Super Sea Stallion, T-34C Mentor, UC-35 Encore, and C-9B Skytrain. His operational assignments include two tours East Coast - HMM-365 (HMH-464 Det) and BLT 2/6 both assigned to 26th MEU SOC and two tours West Coast 31st MEU Det OIC HMM-265 (HMH-465 Det) and HMH-361 UDP. Additionally, he had one tour as a Primary Flight Instructor (VT-27) NAS Corpus Christi and was the Commanding Officer of Marine Transport Squadron One (VMR-1).

Lieutenant Colonel Weissbergers operational staff experience with MAG-16, I MEF, TW-4, and 2D MAW and includes one deployment with BLT 2/6 as a Forward Air Controller; two deployments with I MEF (MNF-W/OIF) as the Air Officer, Personnel Recovery Officer, Current/Future Air Ops, ATO Officer, and Rotary Wing Fragger; one deployment with MAG-40(MEB-A/OEF) as a Battle Captain, Assessments Officer, and Mishap Investigator.
