Welcome to the Civilian Human Resources Office (CHRO), Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan. Our staff is a diverse, knowledgeable workforce with a broad range of technical and program skills engaged in important activities such as Staffing and Employment, Labor- Management Relations, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Training and of course Host Nation support activities for our Master labor Contract (MLC) and Indirect Hiring Agreement (IHA) staff.
The fundamental role of the office is Human Capital Management and to facilitate the attainment of MCAS-Iwakuni’s strategic goals and program objectives by ensuring we recruit and retain a diverse highly-skilled workforce aligned with the station's program needs as well as to promote a competency-based and results-oriented performance culture.
