Proper execution of our military mission consumes resources, uses
hazardous substances and generates waste. These and other environmental
impacts could damage our land, skies, waterways, beaches, and oceans
if not properly managed possibly creating unacceptable hazards where
we work and play.
MCAS Miramar is committed to conducting day-to-day operations in
a way that minimizes negative environmental impacts and preserves our
training areas and natural resources. Sound practices and execution
of our Environmental Management System (EMS) demand more than just
following a set of procedures. Careful planning, extreme discipline
and sound judgment are also mandatory Protecting our future is more
