Our Mission MARINE CORPS INSTALLATIONS EAST (MCIEAST) implements policies, develops regional strategies and plans, prioritizes resources and provides services, direction, and oversight through assigned U.S. Marine Corps Installations in order to support the Operating Forces, tenant commands and activities.
Our Vision MARINE CORPS INSTALLATIONS EAST (MCIEAST) will provide the Operating Forces and tenant commands with the highest quality of continuous, effective service and support to meet present and anticipate future joint and expeditionary warfare requirements.
Our Values Our values signify the highest attainable degree of mission accomplishment throughout the MARINE CORPS INSTALLATIONS EAST region. Carrying out our mission with our values in mind will ensure we progress toward becoming the organization we envision.
These values are: External: Operating Forces and Supporting Establishment voice a high level of satisfaction in the level of support they receive from the regional command. Internal: An organization of Marines, sailors and civilian Marines who value performance and effectiveness above personal interests, who are focused on improving every process by delivering increased levels of support at reduced cost.

MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - The 6th annual Marine Corps Installations East breakfast hosted by Mainstreet, a collection of businesses supporting the military, was held at the Ball Center aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune to recognize the noncommissioned officer, Marine and sailor of the year, Jan. 9.
The NCO of the Year was Sgt. Robert F. Lark, an expeditionary airfields systems technician with Marine Wing Support Squadron 273, Marine Wing Support Group 27, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort.
The Marine of the Year was Cpl. Matthew S. Hamel, a distribution management specialist with Company A, Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort. Hamel was selected for the award as a lance corporal and was promoted before the day of the breakfast.
The Sailor of the Year went to Petty Officer 2nd Class Francisco Aquedamartinez, a corpsman with Deployment Processing Command, MCIEAST.
Various business and agencies from the community awarded the service members with trophies and gifts, and thanked them for their accomplishment. North Carolina Senator Harry Brown also attended the ceremony to show his support. [more]
