New tool keeps Marines and families updated

Marines, sailors, civilians and their families assigned to Marine Corps Recruiting Command now have a new tool at their disposal designed to help them stay up to date with the latest family readiness information available.

“Marine Corps Recruiting Command’s eMarine website is now fully operational,” said Gil Macias, Marine and family readiness program manager, MCRC.

The eMarine website is accessible from any device with internet and it allows commanders to communicate information to geographically dispersed service members and their families. This is an important capability in the recruiting environment.

“eMarine is being implemented Marine Corps wide,” said Macias. “The intent is to create a user friendly solution for commanders and family readiness officers to communicate family readiness information and notifications to Marines and families.”

In addition to giving commanders a channel to communicate with Marines and family members, eMarine also provides links to other useful services such as the American Red Cross, the Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society and services designed to aid Marines in finding jobs after their time in the Corps is up.

To register and gain access to MCRC’s eMarine page, go to www.emarine.organd follow the “Find a Unit” tab in the top right corner.

Once registered, command members may invite up to five family members by clicking on the “Getting Started” tab followed by “Invite Family Members.” Family members invited to join will receive an e-mail granting them access to MCRC’s eMarine page.
