Jeffery W. Bearor
Executive Deputy
Training and Education Command

Jeff Bearor is the Executive Deputy of the Training and Education Command at Quantico, Virginia.  TECOM executes one of the Commandant’s three main Title 10 functions, train the force.  TECOM develops, coordinates, resources, executes, and evaluates training and education concepts, policies, plans, and programs to ensure Marines are prepared to meet the challenges of present and future operational environments.

He retired from active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps after serving for more than 30 years and has over 33 years of military, joint, inter-agency and inter-governmental leadership and operational experience.

Jeff joined the USMC in 1975 following graduation from the University of Texas at Austin and was an infantry officer.  He commanded four rifle companies, an infantry battalion and the Recruit Training Regiment at Parris Island, SC.

He was a USMC exchange officer with the British Royal Marine Commandos and graduated from their famed Commando Course and he was a military diver and parachutist.  He served as a detailee in the CIA’s Counter-Terrorist Center, as the Fleet Marine Officer/Force Protection Officer for the U.S. FIFTH Fleet in Manama, Bahrain, and as the Chief of Current Operations, J3 at the U.S. Central Command.

In addition to his extensive international military operational experience, he has particular expertise in military training and education having served as Executive Officer at the Marine Corps Officer Candidates School, Director of Operations and Policy at Marine Corps University, as Commanding Officer of RTR at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC and as Chief of Staff, USMC Training and Education Command.  He was the principal architect and first Director of the Corps’ Center for Advanced Operational Culture Learning and the driving force behind the recently formed USMC Center for Irregular Warfare.

Besides a BA degree from UT, Austin he is a graduate of the USMC Command and Staff College and the US Army War College.
