ACCESSIBILITY

ACCESS INFORMATION FOR DATABASES
Certain database subscriptions come with licensing restrictions. As such, different login restrictions apply to patrons.
Definitions:
- CAC access or DoD only - Certain Marine Corps, military and government websites require authentication by Common Access Card (CAC) or other means. Some resources may also require use of a government workstation for access. Proper authentication is the responsibility of the user.
- Off-site - Off-site access is defined as access from outside (physically) the Gray Research Center building. NOTE TO WIRELESS USERS: If you are using the wireless connection from your notebook pc, you are using off-site access.
- On-site - On-site access is defined as access from inside (physically) the Gray Research Center building.
- On-site use only - This resource can only be accessed from a computer within the USMC Research & Quantico Base Libraries, USMC Archives, and Gray Research Center building.
- On-site use only requires login - A Reference Librarian must log you in to use this resource.
- Registration required - Resources such as Navy Knowledge Online (NKO) require you to register individually at their site to obtain access. We do not provide usernames/passwords for these resources. Other websites and databases may also require you to register separately.
- Requires login or username/password required - Restricted use. If you are affiliated with an MCU or SNCO School, enter the usernames and passwords provided to you by the Library. If you still cannot login, please contact the Reference Desk for assistance: (703) 784-4411.
- Requires login for off-site access - Off-site access (such as from home) requires the usernames/passwords provided to you by the Library. Contact the Reference Desk for assistance: (703) 784-4411.
