FAMILIES & FRIENDS OF OUR STUDENTS:
Welcome to Marine Combat Training, and Kilo Company. Your Marine has just
become part of an illustrious few. They have joined a group of young men and
women that have volunteered to stand up and fight for their country and the
freedoms it holds dear.
Soon your Marine could be representing our nation around the globe, and it
is my mission to ensure that your Marines get the very best training that my
instructors have to offer. Our instructors are hand selected, specially
trained Non Commissioned Officer and Staff Non Commissioned Officers who
have dedicated themselves to producing the very best combat trained Marines
possible. During the 29 day training cycle here at Marine Combat Training,
your Marine will be taught the core skills to survive in a combat
environment. This foundation will be the building blocks for which your
Marine's skills will be built upon when they leave here to attend their
Military Occupational School.
Please understand that your Marine will be involved in training for most of
the 29 days that they are in attendance of this school. Most of this
training will be in a field environment, where they will not have any access
to computers or phones. Occasionally your Marine may have the chance to call
home, but if they do not, please understand that they are deeply involved in
training.
******In the event that you need to contact your Marine for emergency
reasons, you may send a message to your Marine via the Red Cross. Contact
your local Red Cross office and they will be more than happy to help you
communicate your emergency to our staff, and we will have your Marine
contact you.
Semper Fidelis,
Captain Akeem O. Adelagun
Company Commander
Kilo Company
To the Staff, Friends, and Family of Kilo Company:
It is my honor to be writing my first news letter to the friends and family
of Kilo Company. I am very proud to be a part of this elite combat training
team, comprised of the very best Non Commissioned Officer and Staff Non
Commissioned Officers that the Marine Corps has to offer. Take pride in your
title as Combat Instructor, or friend or family to a Combat Instructor.
These Combat Instructors are building the foundation of our nations newest
Marines. These new Marines could soon be called upon to go into harms way
and fight for this great nation. The responsibility, dedication to the
Corps, and pride that goes into training Marines and preparing them for
combat is an indescribably profound endeavor. I praise you all for you self
sacrifice and commitment to our Marine Corps. Remember that you are part of
the most elite fight force in the world, and you are building that force for
tomorrow as well.
Respectfully,
Captain Akeem Adelagun
