2. Jane Wayne Day
The time has finally come for SOI's Jane Wayne Day! We have tons of fun
events planned from live fire exercises to LAV rides to a modified CFT. We
will have plenty of fun things for the kids to do including a dunk tank,
fire trucks, remote controlled aircraft demonstrations, bounce house, cotton
candy, and so much more. We will also be giving away very nice Jane Wayne
Day T-shirt. This will be an event for the whole family, so please make your
best effort to attend.
The event will kick off at 8am on Saturday, June 13th in Bolton hall
(classroom 9) and will conclude with a family lunch on the football field.
Please send me quick e-mail letting me know your shirt size so we can plan
enough of the right size flak jackets if you're thinking about attending.
We'll have extra on the day, but we want to make sure to have enough in the
right size so you're not swimming in your flak.
This event is for all spouses, significant others, and family members of
permanent personnel here at SOI. Combat Instructor's spouses and all support
personnel spouses are included in the invitation. Your Marine's attendance
is encouraged. If you have children the children can play with their Marine
parent and all the cool family related stuff we have going on; if you do not
have children, space allowing, the Marine may accompany his/her spouse to
the different activities.
Please let me know if you have any questions about the event. Can't wait to
see you there!
