LtCol Lacroix was born and raised in Gilford, New Hampshire. He graduated from Norwich University and was commissioned in May 1994. After completing The Basic School and Infantry Officers’ Course, he was assigned to 2d Bn, 3d Marines where he served as a rifle Platoon Commander, Company G, and 81mm mortar Platoon Commander, Weapons Company. Deployments included two UDP’s to Okinawa.
In 1998, Lt Lacroix reported for duty with 2D Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Team Company where he commanded 3rd Platoon, and served as the Physical Security Officer for the Bn. Deployments included a nuclear fuel security mission and Sixth Fleet deployment in support of Operation ALLIED FORCE and JOINT GUARDIAN. In 2000 he received orders to Advanced Infantry School Ft Benning GA.
In 2001, Capt Lacroix reported to 1st Bn, 7th Marines where he served as Company Commander, “Suicide Charley”. As Company Commander he deployed in 2002 to CENTCOM in support of Operation SOUTHERN WATCH and Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and again in 2003 in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.
In 2003 Capt Lacroix reported to Manpower and Reserve Affairs, for duty as the company grade infantry monitor and head of company grade assignments. In 2006 Maj Lacroix was assigned to Command and Staff College and graduated in May of 2007.
In 2007 Maj Lacroix reported to 1st Bn, 5th Marines for duty as the Executive Officer. Deployments with 1/5 included the 11th MEU and Operation KHANJARI in the Nawa district, Helmand province, Afghanistan.
LtCol Lacroix’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal with “V” device, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
He is married to the former Colleen Oakes of Merritt Island, FL. They have two daughters and a son. |
