Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Jonathan Greenert has taken time to reach out to sailors serving in the republic of Korea. While on a trip through the Asia-Pacific region, the c-n-o stopped by to meet with the ROK c-n-o admiral Hwang ki-chul, speak at the ROK navy war college, and visit u-s sailors serving in Korea.

The Marines who make up The Center For Naval Aviation Technical Training Marine Unit Detachment Little Rock were recognized on November 13, 2018 by the governor and Rear Adm. Brian Fort, a Little Rock native, for their volunteer service in the Little Rock-area communities. The Marines had dedicated more than 6000 hours to volunteer services in just one year.

San Francisco Fleet Week 2017 brought back the Admiral Nimitz Cup. This competition tests the shooting skills of our brave men and women.

The 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade and Expeditionary Strike Group-2 conduct the scenario based Exercise Bold Alligator 2016 aboard the USS Bataan in Norfolk, Va. from August 17-25, 2016. BA16 focuses on improving Navy-Marine Corps amphibious core competencies along with coalition, and partner nations as an investment in the current and future readiness of naval forces.
