Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Blaz remains committed to maintaining environmental stewardship of Guam. One of the ways we achieve this goal is through our native plant nursery which currently has 30 different native and endemic plant species which will be planted in the approximately 1,000 acre Forest Enhancement Area to safeguard the rich biodiversity of the island. The theme for Earth Day 2021 is “Restore Our Earth.” Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton's Environmental Security office is responsible for ensuring Marines and sailors can continue to train to win the nation's battles while protecting the environment and safeguarding the wildlife aboard the installation. Camp Pendleton has some of the most robust environmental programs in the Department of Defense and takes pride in preserving the natural state of the base by participating in Earth Day and conducting environmental and wildlife conservation efforts year-round.
