GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. The purpose of this MARADMIN is to publish course dates for the fiscal year 2019 Senior Leader Legal Course, Legal Officer Course, and Legal Clerk Course.
2. The curriculum for these courses provides familiarization with the Uniform Code of Military Justice, administrative fact-finding bodies, administrative separation procedures, the courts-martial process, and ethics. Travel, lodging, and per diem costs will be the responsibility of individual commands.
3. Eligibility.
a. Senior Leader Legal Course (SLLC): Commanding officers, executive officers, officers in charge, and senior enlisted leaders. Other officers, grade O-4 and above, who have a mission essential need for this training may be assigned on a space available basis. Please note that the SLLC begins at 0800 on day one and finishes no later than 1400 on the final day. Full attendance is required to receive course completion credit. Please plan your travel arrangements accordingly. The Senior Enlisted Legal Course (SELC) will not be offered for FY19. All Senior Enlisted Advisors E-8 and E-9 are encouraged to attend the SLLC.
b. Legal Officer Course (LOC): NON-PMOS 4402 Marines, active duty, company grade officers (O-1 to O-3) in the Marine Corps who perform the duties of a unit legal officer. Warrant officers and enlisted Marines in the grade E-7 and above who have a mission essential need for this training may be assigned on a space available basis. Full attendance is required to receive course completion credit. Please plan your travel arrangements accordingly.
c. Legal Clerk Course (LCC): NON-PMOS 4421 Marines, active duty, enlisted Marines (E-4 to E-7) in the Marine Corps who perform the duties of a unit legal clerk. Enlisted Marines in the grade of (E-1 to E-3) and (E-8 to E-9) may attend on a space available basis. Submissions for the legal clerk course for Marines in the grade of (E-1 to E-3) must be submitted by their SNCO. Full attendance is required to receive course completion credit. Please plan your travel arrangements accordingly.
4. To register for these courses, contact Judge Advocate Division via email at JPI@usmc.mil or cavel.bansah@usmc.mil no later than eight weeks prior to the date the course convenes. Email requests must include the name, date, and location of the course requested in the subject line and the following student information in the body of the e-mail: rank, full name, billet, future billet (if applicable), DOD ID number, phone number, and email address.  Email requests will be processed in the order in which they are received.

8. Naval Justice School currently offers the SLLC, LOC, and LCC as Mobile Training Team (MTT) courses. A unit that requests a MTT course will be  responsible for the funding and venue. Request for a single course requires two instructors. If you request an additional course for the same time period, one additional instructor is required. 9. Quota cancellations. Cancellations received less than five workdays prior to the class convening date may result in a no-show report for the command due to lost training opportunities for other units.
