Republic of Korea and U.S. amphibious assault vehicles approach the shoreline as simulated naval bombardment rounds explode during the amphibious assault portion of exercise Ssang Yong 2014 at Dokseok-ri beach in Pohang, Republic of Korea March 31. Ssang Yong exercises the combined amphibious capabilities of the ROK and U.S. Marine Corps while demonstrating the maturity of the alliance.
