Lance Cpl. Blake Palicki, a rifleman with the Maritime Raid Force (MRF), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, fires on targets with an M240B medium machine gun during a machine gun and demolitions range at Arta Beach, Djibouti, Feb. 6. Fielded by the infantry trailer platoons attached to the MRF, the M240B is an automatic weapon equipped with enough firepower to support maneuver elements and suppress long-range enemy targets. An infantry trailer platoon follows behind the MRF to provide assault support on operations.
