A U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion with Heavy Marine Corps Helicopter Squadron 462, Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Peru, stands ready for flight operations aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset in the Pacific Ocean, Nov. 16, 2018. The goal of SPMAGTF-Peru is to conduct humanitarian assistance and disaster relief training with Peruvian naval forces to improve the interoperability between the U.S. and Peru. The deployment is the latest in a long line of humanitarian assistance-themed events U.S. service members have conducted with their Peruvian counterparts.
