Corey Johnson, both mortarmen with Weapons Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division and students with the Urban Leaders Course, fire their M4 carbines from behind a barricade during a combat marksmanship program range at Camp Pendleton March 31, 2016. This range is the first live-fire range of the three-week course, and is designed to hone Marines’ combat marksmanship skills including how to shoot, move and communicate with a buddy.
