Phillip Pike, a rifleman with the Ground Combat Element, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, patrols through a training area as part of Exercise Tafakula, Pea, Tonga, August 19, 2019. Tafakula is a multilateral exercise hosted by His Majesty’s Armed Forces of Tonga, which includes MRF-D Marines and service members from the New Caledonian Armed Forces, the New Zealand Defence Force, the Australian Defence Force and the Nevada National Guard. The exercise provides an exceptional opportunity to develop relationships, learn about each other's cultures, and share military capabilities.
