Soldiers with the Japanese Ground Self Defense Force fire the Carl Gustav Anti-Tank Weapon during a training range as part of Exercise Iron Fist 2017, aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Feb. 16, 2017. The range was held to provide JGSDF knowledge of U.S. Marines Corps artillery capabilities and share tactics. Iron Fist is an annual, bilateral training exercise where U.S. and Japanese service members train together and share techniques, tactics and procedures to improve their combined operational capabilities.
