February 3	Dramatic Tango, by Fabio Hager Sexteto 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the big hall, Iwakuni Civic Hall. Admissions are; 5,800 yen for A-seats, 5,000 yen for B-seats. For more information, contact MIN-ON at 082-567-0585.
February 5	Ono Oyster Festival 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the event area of Miyahama Hot Springs, Hatsukaichi City. You can enjoy baked oyster, fried oyster, steamed rice with oyster, etc. Free of admission (you may need to pay at each booth).  Free shuttle bus is available from JR Onoura Station to the event site. February 11 - 12	Miyajima Oyster Festival 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.  (or when all oyster is sold out) at the open area in front of Miyajima Pier. Free of admission (you may need to pay at each booth). Oyster is Hiroshima’s specialty, and February is the best season for oyster. During the two days, you can enjoy fried oyster, oyster stew, okonomiyaki with oyster, steamed oyster, and more.  Kagura and Taiko will be performed at the stage too. February 12	Tea Ceremony with viewing Japanese plum 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Shukkei-en, Hiroshima City. Seats with tea ceremony are 800 yen, seats with Amazake (sweet sake) are 600 yen. Kyuhee Pak Guitar Recital 6:30 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.) at Shuto Pastral Hall. Admission is 2,000 yen for adult, and 1,000 yen for younger than high school students. February 18	U.S.-Japan Friendship Concert in Iwakuni 3 p.m. (doors open at 2 p.m.) at Iwakuni Civic Hall. M.C. Perry High School and Elementary School will perform with the junior high schools and elementary school in Iwakuni and Otake City. Free of admission. February 19	The 8th Music Bouquet Concert 2 – 3:30 p.m. (doors open at 1:30 p.m.), at the multipurpose room, Shinfonia Iwakuni. This is piano, vocal, and ensemble performance. Free of admission. For more information, contact Shinfonia Iwakuni at 0827-29-1600. Yamaguchi KIRAMEKI Art Space, Yuko Akagawa concert 3 p.m. (doors open at 2:30 p.m.), at the big meeting room, Shinfonia Iwakuni. Free of admission. The program is; “I Could Have Danced All Night” from My Fair Lady, Look Up At The Stars in The Dark Night Sky (Miagete-goran, Yoruno-hoshi-wo), some arias from popular Opera. February 26	Borodin Quartet with Hideyo Harada 3 p.m. at Shunan City Culture Hall. Programs are; String Quarter No. 1, Op. 51 No. 1 (Brahms), Piano Quintet in E flat. 5,000 yen for S-seats, 4,000 yen for A-seats, 2,000 yen for students. Preschooler are prohibited.
