U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Ford Higgins, platoon commander, United States Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon, Marine Barracks Washington, marches the platoon during a wreath-laying ceremony at the World War II commemoration held at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in Nashville, Tenn., June 4, 2025. The ceremony was part of Marine Week Nashville 2025, honoring the service and sacrifice of World War II veterans. Marines from Marine Barracks Washington participated in the event to preserve tradition, showcase ceremonial excellence, and celebrate 250 years of Marine Corps history.
