I'm Lance Corporal Troy Saunders with your Marine Minute. Marines with 3rd Marine Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, participated in an endurance course at the Jungle Warfare Training Center in Okinawa, Japan, January 15th. The course tests 3/3 Marine's will, stamina and ability to work together as a team in a jungle enviornment, ensuring they are prepared for crisis response and theater security operations in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. Also in the Corps, Marines with 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group conducted a Tactical Fuel System training exercise at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, January 14th. The exercise was designed to enhance the Marine's proficiency by operating the fuel system in a deployed field environment.This week in Marine Corps history in 1968, The 26th Marine Regiment killed more than 100 North Vietnamese enemies as the second Battle for Khe Sanh, during the Vietnam War, began.
