Gallager, now a native of Fairfield, N.J., but born and raised in Manhattan, served four years in the Marine Corps from 1990 to 1994 and said he is running the 100 miles in under 30 hours to raise $100,000 for the 9/11 Memorial, the Disposable Heroes Project, and the Marine Corps Scholorship Fund; and to also raise awareness of the sacrifices of our military.
