More Information
As the USS Bonhomme Richard conducts a replenishment at sea operation, the Marines and Sailors of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit aid in the transport and handling of over 250 pallets of food and other supplies. The ship also refueled on the move through the use of suspended hoses connected between the BHR and the replenishment ship, allowing the Navy to restock on vital supplies without taking the time to dock in port. Soundbites include Lance Cpl. Jonathan Munday - Rifleman, Co.G., BLT 2/1, 31st MEU, Hometown: Orange County, CA. Suggested Lead: While on Navy ships, the Marines and Sailors of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit lend a hand to their naval brothers as they resupply their ships on the move. Suggested Tag: The 31st MEU is the only continuously forward deployed MEU and is the Marine Corps force in readiness in the Asia Pacific region. Produced by Cpl. Jonathan G. Wright.
