Santiago, a Guam native, tells how his family was liberated during World War II by 3rd MarDiv. Because of this, 3rd MarDiv has played a significant and profound role in Santiago’s life.

U.S. Marine Corps Sgt.Maj. Dennis M. Bradley, 3rd Marine Division sergeant major, talks about the caliber of Marines that have served in 3rd Marine Division. In observance of Vietnam Veterans Day he speaks about Gen. Lewis Walt, a former commander of 3rd Marine Division. Gen. Walt received a Silver Star while serving with the First Raider Battalion in Tulagi, was awarded two Navy Crosses during WWII, commanded III Marine Amphibious Force and served as the first four star General as Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Para Ops training Ie Shima

U.S. Marines with 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division conduct parachute operations by jumping out of a KC-130J Hercules and a UH-1N Huey on Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 28 through Nov. 1, 2019. This combined training included Marines from 3rd Transportation Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, as well as support from Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 and Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 169, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. This military training ensures the Marines from III Marine Expeditionary Force are constantly trained and ready to provide aerial delivery of personnel or equipment wherever needed, quickly and effectively. The Polaris MRZR is a tactical vehicle that the reconnaissance Marines utilize in their missions. ARTP 19.2 is the first iteration of the regularly scheduled training that utilized the vehicle.
