The Fuji Friendship Festival is an annual event open to Status of Forces Agreement personnel and residents of Japan. The event features musical performances, such as the III MEF Band, various food stands and other forms of entertainment.

U.S. Marines with 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), participate in Exercise Noble Arashi, in Combined Arms Training Center Fuji, Japan and Naval Base Guam, Guam, March 2022. Exercise Noble Arashi is part of 31st MEU's Noble Series of exercises which are used to validate or invalidate the Family of Naval Concepts, develop techniques and procedures for the employment of MEU assets in support of sea denial and fleet maneuver, and inform future force design and experimentation efforts. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Expeditionary Strike Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners, and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. U.S. Marines with Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3rd Marine Logistics Group (MLG), build a terrain model during a Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation (MCCRE) at Camp Fuji, Japan, Oct. 25, 2020. 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment completes a six-month deployment with 3rd Marine Division in Okinawa, Japan, under the Unit Deployment Program from Oct. 2019 to May 2020. 1/25 participated in exercises: Fuji Viper, Forest Light, Northern Viper, among others. The training the unit conducted in the INDOPACOM area of responsibility certified 1/25 with the efficiency and readiness to deploy to jungle and cold weather environments anytime the nation calls.
