The 24th MEU completed a certification exercise on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Feb. 25, 2019. The completion of CERTEX integrated all of the capabilities of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit. 31st MEU Non-Combatant Evacuation Operation

U.S. Marines and Sailors with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU) conduct a long-range non-combatant evacuation operation (NEO) at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan. Marines may conduct a NEO at the request of the U.S. Department of State to evacuate U.S. citizens and other designated personnel.
