More Information
U.S. Marines with 1st Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company, 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group operate and evaluate aquatic technologies at San Clemente Island, California, August 1, 2019. The Rapid Capabilities Office and the Naval Information Warfare Center worked closely with Marines to explore new technologies to improve ship to shore maneuvers. Complementing the Navy’s current capabilities of detecting ordnance, 1st EOD seeks to provide an organic capability of confirming/denying presence of explosive ordnance from very shallow water to the surf zone.
