U.S. Marine Gunnery Sgt. Lukas Atwell, the Communication Strategy and Operations staff noncommissioned officer in charge with 1st Marine Division, speaks about when he walked 64.82 miles in a 24-hour period Oct. 19 to raise money for charity. The Combined Federal Campaign begins in October and runs through January 2020. The CFC is the world's largest annual workplace charity campaign that affords service members and federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for those in need by donating to their charity of choice. Participation at the CFC is voluntary and every donation goes directly to the organizations that are chosen by service members.
