Marines with Charlie Company, 1st Platoon, 1st Battalion, 8th Marines, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force perform basic skills and squad operations with the implementation of grenades during a grenade assault course aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Nov. 6, 2014. The purpose behind the course was for Marines to successfully execute buddy team operations and engage several different targets Marines could encounter in a combat scenario with the use of high explosives.
