The air show featured demonstrations from a host of many talented performers from the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, Hubie Tolson, RJ Gritter and Stephen Covington to a Marine Air-Ground Task Force Demonstration, the F-35B Lightning II and the AV-8B Harrier II during the 2021 MCAS Cherry Point Air Show and 80th Anniversary Celebration on Sept. 25-26, at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina. The air show is MCAS Cherry Point and 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing’s immense, community outreach event that is a show of appreciation to its regional neighbors and community partners for their enduring support in mission success. This year’s air show features aerial performances ranging from high-speed jet demonstrations by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds 431 Air Demonstration Squadron and the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, to the smaller aerobatic daredevils to vintage warbirds to awesome ground performers like the Shockwave jet truck and much more.
