Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 471, Marine Aircraft Group 41, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Forces Reserve brings the ground fight to Volk Field Air National Guard Base, Wis., for this year's Joint Exercise Northern Lightning, August 2021. Young Marine leaders had the unique opportunity to conduct their Primary Military Education (PME) at Joint Exercise Northern Lightning. Corporals Course grooms the next generation of leaders by providing corporals with the education and leadership skills necessary to lead Marines on the duties and responsibilities of a noncommissioned officer. Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center annually hosts Northern Lighting; an exercise focused on the Joint integration of 4th and 5th generation aircraft.
