U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, work alongside game wardens to launch an RQ-20 Puma unmanned aircraft system in support of Operation Buck Rogers on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Dec. 3 2019. Operation Buck Rogers is used to count wildlife population numbers on Camp Pendleton and the use of Pumas is a cheaper and more effective alternative to complete the task. Townsend Bombing Range invited local residents to hunt aboard the range Nov. 17-18. The hunters were assigned specfic hunting areas where blinds were already set up. Nearly 23 hunters attended the two day event. This opporunity allowed the local community to build bonds and learn about their neighbors at TBR.

Female Engagement Team 12-1 members say goodbye to their friends and family at Camp Pendleton, Calif., March 21. The FET is trained to engage the people of Afghanistan, primarily the females, and build a trusting relationship by providing medical aid, supplies, education and other opportunities that will benefit families.
