Marines with; Recruiting Station Raleigh, 4th Marine Corps District, Marine Corps Recruiting Command; 2nd Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistic Regiment 25, Camp Lejeune; and with Marine Attack Squadron 223, Marine Aircraft Group 14, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, demonstrated the Marine Combat Fitness test to students at Fayetteville State University, North Carolina, during a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) retreat, August 14, 2017. The Marine Corps Educator Workshop provides the opportunity for teachers from high schools around the nation get a glimpse into the transformation of becoming a Marine. This program is designed to bridge the gap between students and the Marine Corps by providing educators with a better understanding of the opportunities it has to offer. An EF3 tornado touched down on Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany carving a path of destruction in the warehouse district, damaging structures, military vehicles, downed power lines and leaving the landscape strewn with broken trees, Jan. 22.

Emma Bruntil is recognized as the MaxPreps Athlete of the Month. The United States Marine Corps partners with MaxPreps to congratulate young men and women who stand out positively in their communities. Bruntil, a junior and competitive wrestler at Mt.
