Marines assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron 271, Marine Aircraft Group 14, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing conducted a two-week field training exercise aboard Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue, Nov. 28 – Dec. 1, 2016. The training focused on integrating Marines across several military occupational specialties and evaluated their performance in the simulated deployed environment. Evaluating Marines expeditionary capabilities during training operations allows units to assess their Marines readiness and strengthen the basic building blocks used to expand their knowledge and capabilities. Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 26, Headquarters Regiment, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, currently attached to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, II Marine Expeditionary Force, conducted mock humanitarian aid, embassy evacuation, and machine gun training aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., Sept. 16-26, 2014.
