Green Berets from the 5th Special Forces Group participate in Special Operations Force Horsemanship Course 1-21 at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport, California, Oct. 9th-23rd, 2020. The purpose of the advanced horsemanship course is to teach SOF personnel the necessary skills to enable them to ride horses, load pack animals, and maintain animals for military applications in remote and dangerous environments. U.S. Marines with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response-Africa trained alongside Army Green Berets in Baumholder, Germany, July 6-10, 2015. The Marines flew from Naval Air Station Sigonella, Italy, and completed an embassy reinforcement at a training area in Baumholder. The training allowed the Marines to test their ability to rapidly launch a crisis response force and secure an embassy during a time of crisis. They also joined with Army Green Berets and completed a series of combat marksmanship and close-quarters combat exercises to increase their ability to operate side by side. U.S. Marines with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response-Africa and Army Special Forces operators completed their final, joint training mission in Baumholder, Germany, March 11, 2015. The Marines secured the perimeter around a target building, which Special Forces operators assaulted to capture a high-value target. Role players engaged the operators as they attempted to extract their prisoner.
