Green Berets from the 5th Special Forces Group participate in Special Operations Force Horsemanship Course 1-21 at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport, California, Oct. 9th-23rd, 2020. U.S. Marines with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response-Africa trained alongside Army Green Berets in Baumholder, Germany, July 6-10, 2015. The Marines flew from Naval Air Station Sigonella, Italy, and completed an embassy reinforcement at a training area in Baumholder. The training allowed the Marines to test their ability to rapidly launch a crisis response force and secure an embassy during a time of crisis. They also joined with Army Green Berets and completed a series of combat marksmanship and close-quarters combat exercises to increase their ability to operate side by side. U.S. Marines with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response-Africa and Army Special Forces operators completed their final, joint training mission in Baumholder, Germany, March 11, 2015. The Marines secured the perimeter around a target building, which Special Forces operators assaulted to capture a high-value target. Role players engaged the operators as they attempted to extract their prisoner.
