This video documents the efforts of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit during its disaster relief operations in New York City and the surrounding boroughs following Hurricane Sandy Nov. 1- Nov. 11, 2012. The 26th MEU responded after the hurricane struck the Northeastern seaboard, mobilizing in hours, and leveraging the flexibility and strength of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force to great effect in the savaged areas.

This is a multimedia package displaying Marines and sailors of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), supporting Hurricane Sandy relief efforts on Staten Island and Queens, N.Y. The 26th MEU is able to provide generators, fuel, clean water, and helicopter lift capabilities to aid in disaster relief efforts.
