U.S. Marines and sailors with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Southern Command are wrapping up their deployment to Central America, during which they conducted security cooperation training, engineering projects, and humanitarian assistance with their counterparts in several Central American and Caribbean nations. The Marines are preparing to redeploy to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, after successfully completing seven engineering projects across three countries and conducting humanitarian aid and disaster relief operations in Caribbean countries impacted by hurricanes Irma and Maria.
