In 2016, elements of the Second Marine Division (2d MARDIV) have been deployed across the globe as a multi-role, expeditionary ground combat force. This film gives you a glimpse into where the Marines and Sailors of the Follow Me Division have been and continue to serve. As it has been so aptly said, "The sun never sets on the Second Marine Division".

Marines with 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division participate in integrated training exercise 1-17 from Oct. 13 through Nov. 18 at Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center Twenty-nine Palms, California. The battalion conducted multiple live-fire ranges where they were evaluated at the platoon, company, and battalion level. ITX is a bi-annual requirement and provides feedback to the battalion before deployment to different regions of the world.

Marines with 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division participated in Integrated Training Exercise 1-17 at Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center Twenty-nine Palms, Calif., October 21 through November 12, 2016. The exercise was in preparation for the unit’s upcoming deployment with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response and the Black Sea Rotational Force.
